ADMISSIONS

Children can be admitted to Bluebill Hill nursery when they are 2 years old. Parents/carers who require day care need to contact the nursery to request a place. The Director/Manager will take the child/children’s details and will look at availability and contact the parent/carer within two weeks of the request being made. If appropriate places are unavailable at that time, the child’s details will be kept on a waiting list held by the Director/manager. This list will be monitored regularly and parents/carers will be contacted when a place becomes available.

We offer sessions in the morning (9am-12pm) and afternoon (12:30pm-3:30pm) at a charge of £19.

3 and 4 year olds are all entitled to 15 hours funded childcare. Some families will be eligible for 30 hours provision; this is for families where both parents are working. Eligibility criteria for 30 hours funded provision can be found at https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare

Parents can apply for additional sessions over and above the 15 hours which they will pay for at our normal rate. The additional hours can be taken flexibly for as much or as little time as the family requires.

The funded nursery places offered are for either 5 mornings, 5 afternoons or a 2 ½ day block each week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning OR Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday).

Additional hours can be paid for to make up the provision needed.

Lunch club is also offered between 12 and 12.30 for an additional cost of £3, children will need to be booked in for lunch club in advance.

You can apply by completing the application form and sending it back to us.

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets out how a nursery, pre-school, childminder or school needs to support your child, from birth to age five, to learn and develop.

Children develop very quickly in the early years. Their early experiences help to shape who they are and who they will become. The abilities and attitudes they develop towards learning in the early years will support them to become capable and confident learners for life.

All early years providers in England who are registered with Ofsted on the Early Years Register, such as, pre-schools, nurseries and childminders; reception classes and all providers registered with an early years childminder agency, must follow a legal document called the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (DfE 2021).
